What you will do in your working day

  • Assisting a team of senior hairstylists whilst learning on the job as well as an allocated day each week of one-to-one training
  • Meet and greet clients

You will work towards your Level 2 Hair Professional standard, in-house with the Salon and Hairdressing Tutor.

About the employer

The Peter Hickman group comprises of four hairdressing salons throughout Gloucestershire and in Herefordshire. The first was founded in Gloucester in 1957 and Peter Hickman MBE continues to own and manage the group, as well as being a stylist for two days a week. The Peter Hickman group are renowned throughout the hairdressing industry for our professionalism and training methods. Our salons provide a wide range of services from traditional cuts, dramatic styles, current colour techniques and competitive wedding packages. Our salons also offer a walk in Barbers service. Our friendly staff have extensive training and frequently attend courses at the L’Oreal Academy in London and Vidal Sassoon in Mayfair. We are stockists of Tigi, GHD, Redken and L’Oreal.
