What you will do in your working day

Your daily duties will include:

  • Participating in the planning of activities and care for children, ensuring that the children's learning and developmental needs are met and that the Nursery provides a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment to the children and their families.
  • Assisting in the preparation and provision of snacks to meet the dietary requirements of the chin and contribute to the Monitoring and Evaluation processes and requirements as requested by the Nursery Manager, or Manager.
  • Participating in maintaining the resources and equipment as required to ensure smooth and safe running of the Nursery facilities.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Functional skills in maths and English – if applicable and depending on your prior attainments and being able to provide evidence of these.
  • 1 day per week at college.
  • Observations to be completed in the workplace to assess competence.
  • End Point Assessment.

Our outdoor areas are equipped with natural, loose parts resources, we pride ourselves in encouraging children to be inquisitive and use their imagination to develop their play and learning.
