What you will do in your working day

Student communication via our customer relationship management (CRM) system (newsletters, exam e-mails, events, and promotions). 
External student communication (e.g. postal marketing). 
Website updates and maintenance. 
Helping manage our social media channels, planning, posting content and engaging with our online communities. 
Helping to organise our podcast recordings, editing each episode and publishing it.  
Help organise student events – setting up campaigns, promotion, bookings, help with arrangements and follow up. 
Planning and producing additional marketing material such as flyers, brochures, videos, and magazines. 
Blog articles – planning, sourcing content, production, SEO, and promotion. 
Management of CRM data (ensuring compliance and accurate tagging). 
School liaison and events (Accountancy Summer School). 
Promotional material – specifying and ordering (pens, bags, and ad hoc items). 
Design banners/social media images. 
Help us apply for industry awards – compiling nominations and entries. 
Attend marketing meetings and take minutes. 

The training you will be getting

Digital marketer (integrated degree) standard, plus Functional Skills in English and maths if required. Degree study is through Anglia Ruskin University. The degree modules are taught as a blended programme with 6-7 days per year at the campus in Chelmsford or Cambridge and online lectures and research.  

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

We are a growing company with a plan to expand our marketing team over the next 5 years. We expect the role to evolve with extra tasks and responsibilities and even managing junior members of staff in the longer term.
