Our engineers are responsible for the servicing, fault-finding, reactive and preventative maintenance work on compressed air systems, on mobile & static applications. You will work on Rotary Screw Compressors, associated Ancillary Equipment and Intelligent Control Systems with additional requirements to work on Piston and Rotary Vane compressors.

What you will do in your working day

To learn how to:

·        Service, troubleshoot, repair and maintain compressed air equipment, normally within a 100 mile radius of home location.

·        Maintain strong lines of communication with the servicing team to ensure we can manage our work and customers’ requirements efficiently.

·        Provide high levels of customer service whilst always adhering to H&S and company policy.

·        Ensure equipment is always operating correctly and efficiently.

·        Build strong working relationships with customers.

The training you will be getting

The successful candidate will work towards a level 2 engineering operative qualification. Delivery method and location to be confirmed.

Mandatory qualifications: 

  • Diploma in engineering operations Level 2
  • Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations Level 2
  • Apprentices without Level 1 (or equivalent) in English and maths must ensure that apprentices achieve Level 1 and take the test for Level 2 prior to taking the end-point assessment.
  • For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeships English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification are an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

To develop into a confident Service & Repair Engineer, with a company van, phone, with overtime, earning up to £50k.

Things to consider

This vacancy will require someone with a full, clean driving license with a minimum of 2 years experience driving. This is due to travel and transport requirements for the company.
