What you will do in your working day

As an apprentice, you will be carrying out various duties which will include:

  • Providing excavation support to other construction professionals
  • Digging trenches for foundations
  • Installing and removing drainage
  • Laying blocks, pavements, kerbs, and driveways
  • Operating Plant machinery
  • Clearing construction sites
  • Following all health and safety procedures

The training you will be getting

Students will study block release at John Ruskin College and will recieve the following qualifications upon completion:

  • A Level 2 Groundworker Apprenticeship Completion Certificate.
  • Functional Skills (if required)

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, candidates will be offered a permanent role with opportunities to progress further in the company.
