What you will do in your working day

  • As an IT Apprentice, you will be joining our Service Desk Team, who are responsible for answering calls and emails from our clients
  • You’ll sit with experienced members of the team who will give you tasks to do and teach you about our clients' systems, and how to resolve their IT problems
  • During your apprenticeship you will be answering the phone and eventually resolving issues yourself

While in the role you will gain exposure to:

  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft Exchange & 365
  • Microsoft Servers
  • Cloud Systems
  • Virtualisation (VMware, vSphere, HyperV)
  • Office Operation Systems

The training you will be getting

You’ll be trained by our internal trainer, and within 15 months, hopefully gain a Level 3 qualification as an Information Communications Technician & addtional Compita certifications. Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Our goal is to give you the training you need to earn a place on our service desk team. Converstaions for future opportunities to expand into different departments can be discussed in yearly reviews.
