What you will do in your working day

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shipments, creating delivery notes & commercial documentation
  • Handle reception duties, responding to calls from customers, suppliers, and sales staff
  • Process sales orders for spare parts, repairs, and service contracts
  • Manage in-house repairs, organising returns, providing quotes, and dispatching
  • Verify delivery notes and handle returns to suppliers, ensuring effective communication
  • Track service, inspection, and calibration, arranging visits and timely dispatch
  • Assist with ISO9001 quality and ISO14001 environmental management system reporting
  • Handle printing of manuals, MSDS sheets & labels and maintain updated records
  • Manage filing and logging of test sheets

You will:

  • Understand the importance of following SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and written processes to support the business
  • Develop an understanding of the complexities of being a global business
  • Generate records and documents
  • Learn about the relationships between different departments and the functions within

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard (can include Level 2 elements if required)
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

College learning is intended to be remote/on-site to mitigate this, however candidates will be required to travel to the college campus in Burton on Trent (DE14 3RL) for Century Assessments/Enrolment/Induction.

Own transport is desirable due to location. Distance between employer and college is approx. 60-mile round-trip.
