What you will do in your working day

The right candidate will be hard-working, detail-focused and have a positive “can do” attitude. The perfect candidate will be able to show an interest in coding, design, and technology. Ideally, someone who has a general interest in fixing and organising.

Duties will include:

  • Hardware setup
  • Networking
  • Technical setups
  • Attending food festival events
  • Design and technology
  • Cabling configuration and network monitoring

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Information Communications Technician, including:

  • Principles of root cause problem solving using fault diagnostics for troubleshooting
  • Key principles of security including access and encryption
  • Fundamental principles of operating systems, hardware system architectures and devices
  • Principles of OSI layers
  • Principles of cloud and network architecture (including Wi-Fi)
  • Principles of LANs and WANs
  • Approaches to virtualisation of servers, applications, and networks
  • Main factors affecting network performance including faults and error control
  • Principles of digital test and diagnostic equipment usage
  • Basic principles of VPN and Remote Access Security for example transmission technologies

About the employer

We are a family owned & operated business, running live events throughout the year, across the UK. Our summer event season sees us hosting the Great British Food Festival across 12 stunning heritage venues. Throughout the winter (Nov – Jan) we will showcase 5 Luminate light trails – enchanting, winter light trails taking place nightly for approximately 4 weeks at each venue. Our aim has always been (and will always remain) to create fabulous, fun, memorable days out for all of our visitors and their families to enjoy.
