What you will do in your working day
Your day to day role will include but not limited to:
- Grass Maintenance
- Machinery Maintenance
- Hedge Cutting
- Planting
- Weeding
- Plant Propagation
- Cut Flower Production
- Use a range of machinary including strimmer, lawn mowers, hedge cutter
- Tractor Training
The training you will be getting
- You will be working towards a Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative Apprenticeship Standard
- You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor
You will be required to attend Duchy College Rosewarne on a one day a week basis as part of the apprenticeship training.
The following qualifications will be required prior to taking the end point assessment:
- Emergency first aid: Level 3 award in emergency first aid at work
- Pesticides: Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of
- Pesticides Guidance OR Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides
