What you will do in your working day

  • Working within a number of classes, supporting the teacher to encourage and motivate all the children in the class
  • Establishing a supportive relationship with pupils
  • Ensuring acceptance and inclusion of every child
  • Helping pupils to concentrate and finish work set
  • Ensuring the children are able to use equipment and materials provided
  • Motivating and encouraging the children as required
  • Supporting learning
  • Able to support activities under direction of the class teacher
  • Support the class teacher 

The training you will be getting

  • You will gain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
  • You will work and complete your training at Holbeach Primary Academy
  • The training will include visits from your assessor in the workplace
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to end point assessment

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, a full-time teaching assistant / learning support assistant / special needs assistant / support and administration roles may be available.
