What you will do in your working day

We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about childcare and the development of each individual child to reach their full potential. 

You will gain experience of working with all the ages and learning about all the children's needs and development. We are registered with OFSTED and cater for up to 31 children aged 0-5 years. We offer free grant funded spaces for 2 to 4 year olds! Get in contact to find out more.

Responsibilities include:

  • To ensure children are kept safe and that Safeguarding Procedures are followed.
  • Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children
  • To work in partnership with parents/carers to pass on information that will be beneficial to the individual child
  • To plan for EYFS and keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys
  • To be involved in out of working hour’s activities, e.g. courses, staff meetings, parents evening etc.
  • To comply with all the policies and procedures that are set out by the nursery

The training you will be getting

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Practitioner – Level 2 qualification. You can also study Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.

Working hours Please note that anyone under the age of 18 can only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours should be amended accordingly, to fall in line with the legislation.
