    £12,480.00 to £22,308.00

    We would base pay on NMW and Apprentice Pay with 3/6/9 month review to assess a rise in level of pay.

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

What you will do in your working day

The role combines the office administration including managing all activitiy and course bookings, daily bookkeeping using Quickbooks and management of the office at Lake 32. 


  • Manage Office Administration:
    • Handle all enquiries by email and telephone
    • Manage booking for group activity sessions, courses and corporate members including notify/discuss with the Management of issues arising
    • Work with the Director and Management Team to ensure all Human Resource records are maintained and updated as required.
    • Manage online and paper files of necessary paperwork
    • Place orders for supplies and manage them
    • Monthly stock check of retail stock
  • Accounting
    • Providing clients with estimates and invoices
    • Input bills for payment by the Director
    • Input daily takings from cafe/website sales
    • Weekly bank reconciliation
    • Monthly reconciliation of banking fees
    • Chase outstanding payments
  • Assist with procedural change and improvement
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by the Director.

The training you will be getting

The qualification is Business Administrator Level 3.  The training is delivered both on site at Lake 32, and in agreement with Cirencester College, Cirencester. The training will be one day a week.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

We do have a full-time post here at Lake 32, alternatively going to any office dealing with customer enquiries would be a suitable route.

Things to consider

We are an outdoor activity centre, so dress code is for the outdoors. We provide some uniform, free parking, a discounted cafe and you can enjoy the facilities in your free time. The location is not on a main bus route so you do require your own transport.

About the employer

We are an outdoor activity centre with open water swimming facilities. We have been in operation since 1988, and at our present location since 1998. We provide all the paddling sports, sailing, raftbuilding, archery and bushcraft for all groups from youth groups to military groups, from primary schools to the corporate market and for all sorts of celebrations. We also have a membership and pay as you go arm for craft launch and open water swimming. We also host swim and traithlon events.
