What you will do in your working day

  • Following and understanding engineering drawings
  • Preparation of materials
  • Use of but not limited to Saws, Drills, Lathe process, Press Brakes, Laser Cutter
  • Use of Hand Tools & engineering principles
  • To follow direction and instructions from the manufacturing leadership team
  • Assisting in other Work Centres when required
  • To attend college and complete all coursework on time and to a high standard, taking responsibility for your own studies
  • Carrying out a range of tasks suitable to the progression of training and ability of the individual, both at college and on site

The training you will be getting

Will be attending North Kent College one day per month. 

Training to become qualified in Performing Engineering Operations Level 2. Diploma in engineering operations (skills) and Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge).
