The role is to support the Accountants, Units Team and the Transactions Team to assist in accounting for and analysing transactions, which encompasses income, payments and expenses to provide accurate financial information to aid decision-making.

What you will do in your working day

  • Assist with the processing of credit card and personal expense claims, including ensuring accurate coding and authorisation and is in line with expenses policy.
  • Assist with the processing of purchase invoices.
  • Support the Transaction Team with maintaining timely and accurate filing of purchase and payment information.
  • Maintain an accurate log of the mileage incurred across the organisation for Carbon footprint data capture.
  • Maintain accurate cost-trackers on key contracts.
  • Assist with banking and recording bank transactions as required.
  • Liaise with budget managers to assist with any queries to ensure resolution or escalation as required.
  • Liaise with site managers and resolve financial transaction queries and investigate discrepancies in income and expenditure.
  • Assist the Accountants and Head of Finance in the extraction, analysis and preparation of financial data as and when required.
  • Liaise with auditors to provide information requested and carry out analysis where necessary.
  • To support the Unit VAT Team on the review of cashbooks and support Treasurers of Regional and District Associations.
  • Support the finance team during periods of software transition and on ad hoc projects.

The training you will be getting

  • You will attend training provided by Coventry and Warwickshie Chamber Training once a week, Commerce House, 123  St Nicholas Street, Radford, CV1 4FD
