    If you achieve your monthly key performance indicators through your monthly 1-2-1's you can gain a salary increase. We have a staff member of the month award scheme. We have a yearly team bonus if all targets are hit.

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

    Throughout the week you will be asked to shadow our experienced sports coaches to gain important experience within the industry. When ready you will be supported in delivering high-quality sessions. Monday - Friday between 8am and 4:30pm

What you will do in your working day

The role of an Apprentice Sports Coach:

  • Assist the delivery of high quality sports coaching sessions to children and young people
  • Develop and inspire young people to live and lead active lifestyles
  • Support the process of completing assessments and reports on children and young people’s progress
  • Develop the knowledge & understanding of what a GOOD session looks like and put this in to practice under the guidance of Senior Activity Professionals

The training you will be getting

Continual Professional Development (CPD):

  • By the end of the 15-month course, you will receive your level 4 sports coaching apprenticeship.
  • Along with this, you will have the opportunity to partake in many different qualifications such as safeguarding, peadiatric first aid, a level 2 sports qualification plus much more. 
  • All of our staff receive industry-leading CPD which includes NGB coaching qualifications and professional workshops to support their delivery.
  • This is a permanent position and the successful candidate will undergo an Enhanced DBS check & pre employment checks.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • It the apprentice is successful, they will be offered a position within the company as a part-time or full-time sports coach. 
  • From there, we have many areas of development through our infrastructure.

Things to consider

We would like the applicant to have a full driving licence and access to a car to travel to and from venues.
