Summary
You will prepare food and carry out basic cooking tasks under the supervision of a more senior chef. You will learn and understand how to carry out the basic functions in every section of the kitchen. Therefore, having the opportunity to experience, consider and value each section with a view to choosing an area where you feel most inspired.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The apprentice will be working towards attaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship with one day a week training at Weymouth College.

Other requirements
You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to attend an interview and assessment at Weymouth College prior to your application being passed on. If a suitable candidate is found prior to the advertised closing date it may close earlier so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
About this company
Twilights Dorset Ltd have the franchise of the bar and restaurant in a busy golf club with over 600 members. The bar and restaurant is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. We host regular quiz and theme nights, often with two-course set menus. Sunday carvery is served every week. We host marquees and wedding events throughout the year as well as parties with buffet style hog-roasts.
