Here at Domainex, with our two sites – one based on the Chesterford Research Park on the outskirts of Saffron Walden and one at the Unity Campus, just outside Sawston, on the outskirts of Cambridge - we are looking to expand our team with the addition of one Laboratory Scientists focussing on a role in our Biology Centre of Excellence.

What you will do in your working day

·       Carry out a wide range of technical and scientific activities in your specialist discipline.

·       Analyse, interpret and evaluate relevant scientific information, concepts and ideas and use these to develop subsequent experiments or investigations.

·       Propose solutions to problems encountered during the scientific analysis.

·       Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative scientific ideas and solutions.

·       Work with a wide variety of instrumentation throughout the apprenticeship.

The training you will be getting

  • Apprentices will undertake the level 6 BSc (Hons) Laboratory Science degree at Anglia Ruskin University
  • Training will be delivered at:
  • ARU Cambridge campus - day release during term-time (36 weeks per year)
  • Workplace training at the Domainex site
