What you will do in your working day

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Observing, learning, and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled Engineering team.
  • To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training progresses by working independently or with a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and increasing overall contribution to the department and business.
  • To undertake and successfully complete suitable college courses throughout the training period, achieving the academic grades and practical skills required.
  • To maintain and to ensure general good housekeeping of the workplace.
  • To maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner at all times whether at the business or place of study.
  • Any other Ad-hoc duties assigned by the business.

The training you will be getting

On completion of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved the following qualification;

  • ST0164 Engineering Design and Draughtsperson Level 3

Day release (college) training will be delivered by SIGTA at Faraday House in Eastbourne.

The final apprenticeship completion certificate will be issued on achievement of the above qualification and successful completion of end point assessment.

As with all apprenticeships, this requires a long-term commitment – there will be assignments and log book entries to complete. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a top company, whilst you work towards nationally recognised qualifications.
