What you will do in your working day

Pumpkin Patch are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and have a passion for outdoor learning. Our forest and beach school programmes provide an exciting experience for our children which all staff have a chance to take part in. As an Apprentice with us, we will be dedicated to your training to help you be the best you can be.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
  • To provide and maintain a high-quality, stimulating learning environment for all children, following the Reggio Emilia approach
  • To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately in accordance with policies
  • To develop genuine bonds with your key children and support colleagues to sensitively fulfil their key person responsibilities
  • To provide feedback and work in partnership with key parents/carers, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust, open communication, and involvement in nursery life

The training you will be getting

  • Apprenticeship qualification: Early Years Educator Level 3
  • Ongoing training and mentoring
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Fixed Term Contract of 24 months but the apprenticeship can be completed from 1 year and 1 day. You will have the opportunity to progress through the company once qualified.
