    This is basic pay plus an increase for fringe allowance.

  • Working week

    8.00am to 4.00pm on Monday to Thursday; and 8am to 3.30 pm on a Friday. This includes a 30 minute unpaid break each day. There may occasionally be a requirement to attend evening events such as open evening.

What you will do in your working day

  • Help staff and pupils with workstation issues.
  • Help staff and students with logging in and password problems.
  • Gain an understanding of common operating systems mostly MS.
  • Understand and action updates to workstation operating systems.
  • Learn the basics of how wired and wireless networks work.
  • Gain an understanding of how servers / infrastructures work and how to back up and maintain them.
  • Monitor and replenish consumable stock.
  • Help staff with classroom equipment pc's projectors and sound systems

The training you will be getting

  • On completion, the Apprentice will be awarded the Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship qualification.
  • You will be appointed a skills trainer who will meet with you remotely every 6-8 weeks for reviews and support with your Summative Portfolio work.
  • This standard aligns with the following professional recognition: RITTech for 3.

  • Ongoing career development and progression opportunities upon completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate, should a suitable vacancy arise.
