Acton Hall are looking for a motivated, self propelled individual who can provide the best care for our liveries prize possessions, their Horses.

The ideal candidate will be:-

The role job entails:

  • Mucking out
  • Tacking up
  • Turning out and bringing in
  • General yard duties

28 days holiday per year

The working day is 8am-5pm and you will be required to work 1 weekend day.

The apprenticeship is based onsite in a practical setting, so not lots of sitting in a classroom. If you did not gain your Maths & English GCSE at school we can support you to gain these whilst on programme.

There is limited riding for this role so best suited to a non rider.

You must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 years or more.

The interview will consist of a trial day at the yard.

The training you will be getting

  • A level 2 certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the apprenticeship
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required
  • All training will take place within the workplace
  • Your dedicated trainer coach will visit you remotely or at work every month

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Permanent employment after apprenticeship
  • Progression to Level 3 Senior Equine Groom
