What you will do in your working day

An opportunity has arisen for a Business Administration Apprenticeship to join our team. Here at AAG we have had several apprentices join our team over the years and pride ourselves on the fact that we have been able to offer permanent positions once the apprenticeships have been completed. Some employees who joined us as apprentices are now in more senior positions of the company and we will continue to support them in any way we can.

The main part of this role will be to assist with the day to day running of the office including greeting any visitors attending the office and answering the telephone.This role offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to be a key part of our team and gain a greater understanding of all parts of our Business.

Duties to include: 

• Assisting with event organisation and marketing support
• Maintaining the upkeep of company vehicles
• Handling the post and making sure it reaches the relevant departments
• Monthly stationary orders
• Answering the telephone, taking messages, and making sure they reach the relevant people
• Accepting and booking in deliveries
• Greeting visitors to the office and providing refreshments
• Dealing with accommodation and travel requests
• Ensuring general office areas are tidy and hazard free
• Any other ad-hoc duties to assist with the day to day running of the business

The training you will be getting

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence.

You will be expected to work towards the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group. Delivery method and location to be confirmed.
