Summary
We are looking for an apprentice for the Drawing Office which is a key department within the company. Initial training will be completing drawing modifications using the CAD system with progression into the design and creation of new drawings for the latest products.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be
expected to work towards the L3 Engineering Technician, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.
As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English
Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional
certificates of recognition for these qualifications.

Slack & Parr is a precision engineering company producing high precision components for our global customers. Our manufacturing facility consists of a large machine shop with CNC Lathes, Milling Machines and Grinding machines as well as our own in-house and established Apprentice Training School which has ran an apprenticeship Program since 1968.
After this apprenticeship
Our apprentices progress onto all areas of the company and will have the opportunity to undertake a HNC upon successful completion of their level 3 qualifications with merit and distinction grades.
