What you will do in your working day

You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team meeting tight deadlines.

Initially working with an experienced engineer learning how to install, maintain, service and fault find Intruder Alarms, CCTV & Alarms, Fire Alarms and Access Control.

You should be committed to developing new skills and gaining knowledge of the industry.

The ideal candidate will need to be willing to learn, good communicator and listener. Able to follow instructions.

Driving License required as traveling to customer sites is essential. This role is based in and around the South West and candidates must be happy to travel as/when required.

The training you will be getting

Skills for Security will deliver the Level 3 apprenticeship.

You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.

You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.

On-the-job Training

Training by our engineers both on site, and on occasion in the office, on a daily basis.

Training to meet the standards of the company as well as the requirements of British Standards.

Functional Skills (if required).

Manufacturer specific training for the equipment we use.

Burglar alarms.

CCTV alarms.

Security Lighting.

Access Control.

Door entry.

Smart Homes.

Key Holding.

Fire Alarms.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship a full time position may be offered.
