What you will do in your working day

Duties will include:

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out and bringing in
  • General care of the horses
  • Helping with lessons
  • Yard duties to ensure yard runs efficiently

The training you will be getting

  • All training will take place at the employer's premise, with the support of the employer, and will carried out by Haddon Training
  • The apprentice will achieve a Equine Groom Level 2 qualification
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • A possible progression onto Level 3 senior equine groom apprenticeship or full-time position on completion of the apprenticeship

Things to consider

Some previous experience with horses would be beneficial to being successful in this application. No accommodation available but it may be possible to bring your own horse, depending on capacity.
