What you will do in your working day

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with food preperation, including both hot and cold foods and ingredient preparation.
  • Serving front of house customers, including taking orders and payments.
  • Preparing orders for online orders, such as Just Eat and Uber Eats.
  • General maintenance and cleaning.
  • Stock rotation and maintenance, enforcing a first-in, first-out system.
  • You will also work towards Level 2 Food Hygiene certification. 

The training you will be getting

You will work towards a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship qualification. You will have a dedicated industry expert to guide and coach you through components of your programme and you'll experience a range of different learning opportunities

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The position has prospects for the right motivated candidate to progress to managerial level in future stores.

There is also room for progression into higher position such as sushi making and hot food cooking, dishes such as preparing and serving chicken katsu and thai sweet chilli chicken with rice and noodles.

About the employer

Nooshi Preston is an independent sushi bar and oriental hot food restaurant, opposite the shopping centre on Fishergate. It is a small unit within a friendly relaxed environment promoting an emphasis on teamwork and exciting, fast-paced workflow.
