What you will do in your working day

  • Playing and interacting with the children.
  • Care routines such as nappy changing, handwashing, feeding, toileting.
  • Assisting the staff in keeping the environment clean and tidy.
  • Monitoring the children’s learning through key working and development records.
  • Providing age appropriate stimulating activities to meet the individual needs of the children. Working as part of a team exchanging and communicating ideas.

The training you will be getting

The apprentice will complete an Apprenticeship in Early Years Educator  level 3, which includes a Paediatric First Aid qualification, with a daily release into college weekly as well as regular assessor visits.  

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The apprentice may choose to stay and work as a full-time member of the nursery team, study for a higher qualification or they may choose to move onto a different pathway within the childcare sector.

About the employer

Bella’s was registered in 2015. We are open Monday to Friday 7.30am – 6.00pm and care for children aged 4 month to 5 years. We are open all year round, apart from one week in August and the Christmas period. The nursery currently employs 12 staff members in total.
