What you will do in your working day

  • Timber fitting.
  • Roofs.
  • First fixing.
  • Second fixing.
  • General residential renovations and maintenance projects.

The training you will be getting

The course will cover disciplines such as roofing, first fix, second fix and manufacturing products. There are two routes the apprentice can undertake: Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery. 

Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship standard, which includes: 

  • Level 2 NVQ City & Guilds Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) (Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery). 
  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required). 
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA). 

The course will be carried out at our Keighley College campus. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
