We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work alongside the HR team of Bordesley MAT, looking after four schools. An affinity for administration and the desire to ensure staff wellbeing is desirable. You will be involved in the daily HR function of advertising, recruitment processes, contract changes, and staff enquiries.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

What you will do in your working day
Duties will include:
- Vacancy advertising using TES, WM Jobs, DfE teaching vacancies, local press and social media
- Recruitment process, including references and ID checks
- Safeguarding checks, included DBS checks
- Liaising with School Employee Services to issue contracts
- Liaising with school line manager to ensure induction and probation is completed
- Working alongside the HR officers to assist in the safer recruitment process
- Administrative tasks for Bordesley MAT central team
Working within education will necessitate a variety of safeguarding training to be completed. This will be done online via the National College.
You will need to be able to use Microsoft including Microsoft Planner, and Fresh Desk ticketing system. You will also be using the Bromcom MIS personnel module. Full training will be provided.
The training you will be getting
Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Worcester (WR4 9GN).
You will receive a training plan that is specific to your qualification, with sessions that are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and remote.
Additional training for functional skills in English and maths will be undertaken if needed.
You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your BUSINESS ADMIN level 3 qualification.
There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in the spring of each year offered to all apprentices on programme.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
This apprenticeship will stand you in good stead for moving into a HR role with further responsibilities.
