The apprenticeship will be the Highways skilled operative level 2 apprenticeship which will give you the opportunity to join Amey. We deliver infrastructure services across 6,000 kilometres of Staffordshire by providing maintenance to road, cycle route, bridges, tunnel, lighting, drainage, traffic signals, trees and land.

What you will do in your working day

You will be involved in a variety of different services being mentored by experienced support staff. Tasks that you may be involved with are:

  • Minor civil works
  • Drainage works
  • Carriageway patching
  • Routing and cyclic maintenance activities

  • Block release sessions at Telford College
  • Assessor visits in the workplace by the Telford College
