Apprentice will be involved in the manufacture of food and beverage equipment. Working at the top level of the industry for Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Heineken etc world wide. The role will include producing items at the factory from stainless steel materials which would include drilling, grinding, welding and assembly.

What you will do in your working day

  • Working on Pneumatic systems, installing pipes fittings and cylinders
  • Bolting together sub-assemblies of manufactured parts made at the facility, which have all be designed by our in house Cad drawing office
  • Welding and fabricating parts that arrive at the facility in flat pack form from outside laser cutters, all parts cleaned and finished to a high standard
  • Manufacturing can twists which is a very specialised skill 
  • Installing water pipe circuits on the rinsing machines and testing

The training you will be getting

  • You will undertake the Engineering Fitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard     
  • Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer
  • Day release
  • You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or maths if needed
  • You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge and experience

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Fully qualified and trained engineer on Sismatico equipment
  • To build the equipment themselves mechanically and fabrication wise in some cases
  • Install the equipment
