What you will do in your working day

Installation, shaping and cutting materials; work to the construction programme, adapting to changes in schedule and requirements where necessary. Prepare the work site or workshop ready for the work and select materials and tools appropriate to the project. You will be working on:

  • Main Roof
  • Joists
  • First Fix
  • Second Fix
  • External Door
  • Cladding

The training you will be getting

  • Diploma Level 2 In Site Carpentry
  • Functional Skills (if required)
  • Initial 4 week training at LJ Construction Academy in Banbury
  • After that FULLY site based and no college attendance
  • Bi weekly lessons
  • 4 site visits a year with the mobile workshop
