What you will do in your working day

Daily duties will include but not limited to:

  • Preparation of the walls to plaster
  • Render external walls
  • Plasterboard and plaster
  • Scrim tapping
  • Skimming
  • Installation of angle beads and stop beads

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards a Level 2 Plastering Apprenticeship Standard.

You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor.

Individuals without level 1 English and Maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for level 2 English and Maths prior to taking the end-point assessment. 

You will be required to attend Cornwall College Camborne on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there may be opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.

About the employer

Anned Ltd is a general builders and maintenance company who provide services that range from installing new smoke alarms to building new extensions. There is a constant variety of work where no two days are ever the same. You will be working at different locations for clients with council properties or private lets. You will be working as part of a hard working team, alongside other apprentices, one of whom is soon to be qualified. We cover all of Cornwall, but mainly from Truro to Lands End.
