What you will do in your working day

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the Fitter in day to day repairs both on-site and in the field

  • Learning the maintenance program of vehicles and equipment

  • Learning basic electrical repairs

  • Prep work on vehicles before 10 weekly PMI’s

  • Servicing of equipment on site both breakdowns and general maintenance

  • Diagnostics

The training you will be getting

You will attend Boston College one day a week where you will be assessed through practical assessments and written assignments.

On successful completion of the course, you will achieve a level 2 qualification.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Once qualified you can work independently as a full time fitter.
