What you will do in your working day

This role will provide comprehensive administrative support for Work Based Learning (WBL) provision for the Engineering and Motor Vehicle Apprentices in Uxbridge, and Plumbing and Electrical provision at Harrow and IT provision in Hayes. 

Duties will include:

  • To arrange interviews with candidates and employers and ensure the completion of enrolment and Apprenticeship ‘start up’ paperwork including: Apprenticeship agreements, confirmation letters to students and employers.
  • To maintain Apprentices’ files including all start up documentation, Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), reviews, copies of certificates etc.
  • To undertake administration surrounding the apprentices’ end of term reports.  
  • To provide employers with accurate attendance information on their apprentices.
  • To support Academic Standards Managers and Course Team Leaders with exam registration and exam arrangements.
  • To issue general correspondence/texts to Apprentices and employers for example with course and exam dates, timetable changes etc.

The training you will be getting

Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x1 day per week either at Uxbridge, Harrow or Hayes Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.

The apprentice will be required to complete:

  • Work towards gaining a full Qualification.
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours.
  • Standard and End Point Assessment.
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths, and ICT (if required).

Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role.
