What you will do in your working day

TBN UK are looking to grow their online presence across its various platforms. This role will be assisting with the digital marketing and promotion of their content. It involves supporting the Youtube, On Demand & Social Media Teams with new campaigns and distribution of content.

The role:

  • Marketing our products and services using social media, email marketing
  • Generating digital content: copy, graphics & video
  • Carrying out SEO and reporting on data & trends

This includes creating and editing content for Social Media, Youtube & On Demand; assisting in Social Media planning and scheduling; reporting on SEO and other analytics. It offers an excellent way to build skills and experience that will start your career in digital marketing, social media and communications within the Media Industry.

Above all we are looking for someone who can use their own initiative and can bring ideas to the table. We are a small, close-knit team so you will have the opportunity to work across departments and see other areas of the business to gain a wide variety of experience. Any experience with digital marketing will be advantageous. A willingness to learn and get stuck in will be key to growing in this role and being a successful member of the team. We are a Christian organisation seeking to further and promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ so a sympathetic understanding of this is needed.

Core Duties:

  • Helping to drafting and scheduling content for social channels
  • Writing engaging captions for social media
  • Developing photo, video and graphic design skills to create eye catching content
  • Generating reports using social media analytics
  • Researching topics for blogs, social media content and video
  • Supporting email campaigns
  • Engaging with audiences and responding to customers across social channels
  • Monitoring social trends, competitor activity, key influencers and Facebook groups

Skills Required:

Essential

  • Excellent literacy, written and spoken communication skills
  • Good administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • An understanding of social media platforms and experience using Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik-Tok and X.
  • Understanding and an interest of social media analytics
  • Ability to produce clear information and edit simple copy
  • Basic image and video creation/editing skills
  • Good IT skills, able to use Mac Computers
  • Passion for digital design and presentation
  • Able to work to a brief, independently and as part of a team

The training you will be getting

You will be completing the Level 3 Multi-channel Marketer Apprenticeship

(N.B. Formally Digital Marketer Level 3.  As of Dec 2023, Digital Marketer has been updated to Multi-Channel Marketer. This new standard expands on the curriculum and provides learning on all aspects of marketing instead of solely focusing on digital marketing.)

As a Multi-Channel Marketer Apprentice, you help with planning, creating and implementing, impactful marketing campaigns across digital platforms. As part of the Marketing team, the multi-channel marketers will contribute to the implementation of the Marketing strategy and plans. They will be responsible for delivering day-to-day marketing activities across a multitude of platforms, channels and systems that are essential to the Marketing function and activities of the company.

Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:

For the Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship, there is an end point assessment. This is done in the final part of the apprenticeship and is how the apprentice is judged on their learning and will include: 

• Producing a written Report
• Portfolio of evidence based work
• Presentation and Q&A
• Professional Discussion based on Portfolio

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to achieve a Level 3 Multi-channel Marketer Apprenticeship with the potential to progress to a level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship. Thereafter, there is scope for further training.
