What you will do in your working day

TBN UK are a Content Creator, distributing content on various platforms from traditional TV on Freeview & Sky as well as online on Youtube, VOD and social media. We are looking for a Producion Assistant to work with the Production team, creating all the different types of content for the various platforms.

The role

  • Assisting with Pre-Production, research, prepping kit
  • Assisting in Production, operating equipment, running
  • General assiatance with the upkeep and maintenance of Studios and equipment
  • This includes helping to prepare for shoots, researching guests and speakers, preparing scripts, getting equipment ready from cameras to set and lights
  • You will then be involved in the production itself whether that’s operating a camera, running the autocue and Graphics and potentially other roles if you are interested

This is a great opportunity to learn about the Production process from start to finish, gaining experience with the various roles involved and learning how to use industry standard equipment.

Above all we are looking for someone who can use their own initiative and can bring ideas to the table. We are a small, close-knit team so you will have the opportunity to work across departments and see other areas of the business to gain a wide variety of experience. Any experience with content creation and production will be advantageous.

A willingness to learn and get stuck in will be key to growing in this role and being a successful member of the team. We are a Christian organisation seeking to further and promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ so a sympathetic understanding of this is needed.

Core Duties:

  • Helping to research, script and prepare production ready for filming
  • Safely and correctly preparing equipment needed for shoots.
  • Operating a camera, autocue, Graphics and more as required. (Full training provided)
  • Assisting the other members of the Production team in their duties, Producer, Director, Sound Engineer, Lighting Director etc.
  • Ensuring equipment is looked after and stored correctly, reporting any faults as they arise
  • Helping with the general maintenance of the Studios & equipment so we stay Production ready

Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Excellent literacy, written and spoken communication skills
  • Good administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • A basic understanding of Production and Content Creation and what’s involved
  • Understanding and an interest of cameras, lights and sound.
  • Ability to produce clear information and write basic scripts
  • An interest in Technology and the ability to learn new things quickly
  • Good IT skills, able to use Mac & Windows Computers
  • Able to work to a brief, independently and as part of a team

The training you will be getting

You will be completing a Production Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship with Creative Alliance.

You will have training on the job and off the job with the award winning, creative specilaised provider Creative Alliance.

Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry.

You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.

Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:
