What you will do in your working day

  • Routine maintenance or monitoring
  • Responding to alarms
  • Emergency fault finding
  • Receiving delivery of chemicals,ensuring all health and safety procedures are being followed
  • Dealing with a highly regulated food product (drinking water)
  • Meeting relevant regulations
  • Monitoring and record keeping

The training you will be getting

Training will take place with the Wessex Water Academy, in partnership with Weston College:

  • You will attend monthly workshops and 1:1 days with your Wessex Water Skills Coach.
  • Training will take place on site by qualified Wessex Water instructors.
  • Weston College deliver a short training course as part of this apprenticeship.
  • Maths and English is delivered online.

On completion of the course you will gain the following qualifications:

  • Water Process Technician Apprenticeship

Things to consider

You will need to travel to different locations, and we will supply a company vehicle when you are ready to work independently. If you don't yet have a driving licence we will pay for your driving lessons as you are required to drive for this role.
