Things to consider

The chef will be your main point of contact within the kitchen and you will work under the chef. Within your day you will be required to undertake duties such as preparing snack, assisting cooking the lunch for the setting which on some days can be for 80 children and at least 10 staff, clearing up from lunch and snack and ensuring the kitchen is of a high standard at all times. We also require someone who is dedicated to ensuring that all our polices are being followed to the highest standard. During the day there will be laundry that will need to be done and there will also be tumbling that will be required sorting. During tea time the main chef will have finished or just be finishing and therefore it will be your responsibility to make sure tea is provided for the children. It may have already been prepared in the afternoon or you may need to prepare it. You will then be required to ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy by the end of your shift ready for opening the next morning. You will also be needed to cover when the chef is off but we will ensure that a member of staff is able to assist you if needed.
