What you will do in your working day

  • You will build a knowledge of water, environment and flood risk management and develop a career in environmental consultancy
  • You will support our teams to assist with the delivery of a wide range of projects
  • Projects include hydrological assessments, hydraulic modelling studies, options appraisal, flood risk assessments, strategic flood risk assessments and resilience studies
  • Create, maintain and improve habitats to ensure a natural healthy environment
  • Agree and develop their personal performance, objectives and development
  • Maintain, repair and carry out minor works on a variety of water environment assets

The training you will be getting

Water and Environment Worker (Level 3) Apprenticeship Standard.

Apprenticeship training will be provided by Bridgewater and Taunton College. The course will be delivered virtually one day per week.

We want our staff to reach their full potential and feel that their development is important to us. Following successful completion of the apprenticeship a structured training and development plan will be put in place to support progression within your team.

Things to consider

Within this role there may be occasions where travel between offices or onto site are required. A requirement of the apprenticeship is that by the 31st August you will need: • To be over the age of 18 • The right to live and work and live in the UK to qualify for funding • A valid UK driving licence or be seeking to undertake your driving test
