  • Annual wage


    Salary included above is for the 1st 12 months whilst on programme. After month 12, this salary increases. If you are aged 21 or over on your first anniversary, your salary will increase in line with national minimum wage.

  • Working week

    Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with flexibility. Shifts to be confirmed.

What you will do in your working day

  • General maintenance.
  • Managing breakdowns on site and finding faults
  • ​Adding new systems on site for better productivity
  • Running mechanical tests​
  • Health and safety checks which include risk assessments and fire alarm tests​
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and ensuring safety comes before anything else

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 qualification in Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician
  • You will attend Edinburgh College on block release

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, you can become a Mechanical Engineer

Things to consider

This role will involve working outside, during all seasons of the calendar. This will be a physical role with travel included.
