    This role is term time only and therefore the advertised salary is pro-rata based on the term-time only nature of this role. The salary will increase to £14,086.80 (pro-rata) from April 2024.

  • Working week

    8.40am – 3.25pm (incl. 30-minute lunch break), plus one 30-minute meeting per week. This is a term time only role + 2 INSET days.

    Total hours per week: 31.5

Under the direction of the SENDCo and classroom Teacher the postholder will support the academic progress and pastoral welfare of students with SEND and SEMH.

You will be supported by an experience team of Teaching Assistants, an Assistant SENDCo and SENDco. We also have two SEND Admin Assistants within the department who are very experienced and able to answer any questions you have. 

We are looking for an apprentice who:

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Functional Skills in English and maths Level 2 if required.
  • End Point Assessment: Practical workplace observation; Q&A session; Professional Discussion.
  • Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

If a vacancy is available, TA or HLTA employment would be considered for the right candidate after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
