What you will do in your working day

An opportunity exists for an apprentice to work alongside the whole Nottingham Development Team. The apprentice will support the entire Nottingham Development Team in a wide range of interesting projects, enabling the role to be varied or more specialist should the apprentice prefer. Innovative and proactive thinking would be required alongside a strong initiative and motivation to contribute to the team's success.

The individual will develop an in-depth understanding of the markets we cover and our associated IT, which we use to support our business and create a market leading position.

Day to day work duties will include:

  • Assisting on inspections
  • Undertaking due diligence and assisting with the preparation of valuation
  • Gathering and summarising data for agency and consultancy reports
  • Attending meetings and client events

The long term potential is for that individual to become a MRICS qualified surveyor, having developed their skills working in a market leading team. The individual would be client facing over time and therefore communication and interpersonal skills are very important. An outgoing, sociable and presentable individual is required. They need to be active, energetic and willing to learn.

A driving licence or learning to drive is desirable.

The training you will be getting

5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled in year 4 of the undergraduate degree) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification.

On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.

Apprentices will be required to complete a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc/BSc(Honours) or (where the apprentice already holds a Level 6 degree and subject to an assessment of prior learning) an RICS accredited Post Graduate Diploma or MSc that states it is linked to this apprenticeship.
