What you will do in your working day

At Health Electrical we are proud of our story and how we have become what we are today. After being open for 8 years, we have hired 27 staff, trained 9 apprentices, and welcomed 5 babies into the family, it's a fantastic story!

You will be supporting the team's activities, and specifically, your duties will be:

  • Receiving enquiries for potential new works and setting up for the estimators to undertake pricing. This also includes communicating with clients and printing off required documentation.
  • Providing estimators support through the bid process.
  • Sourcing of materials and associated costs for works being priced
  • Undertaking simple estimates that gradually increase in complexity through the training period.

Other responsibilities:

  • Provide support on a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Ensure all IT related administration is up to date and accurate.
  • Write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, and record and analyse data.
  • Book meetings, jobs, accommodation and travel arrangements.
  • Providing support on any projects that are required.
  • Produce accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management. You will be required to draft correspondence, writes reports, and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, and handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
  • Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and can deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice from more experienced team members when appropriate.
  • Bringing in new ideas & innovations to the team, to help with processes & procedures.
  • Keeping contract information up to date.

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.

You will attend college once a month and will receive face to face visits from your college workplace trainer. In addition, you will receive support from your mentor at Heath Electrical Services throughout your training and apprenticeship.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be offered a full-time position with the option to develop your career with Heath Electrical Services.
