Summary
Dogs Play are looking for a hard-working apprentice to join their busy team. The successful candidate will be given the platform and support to develop their skills and launch a career in the Animal Care sector.

The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week. Shifts start at 07:00 and finishing at 18:15 (Mon to Friday) and 07:45 until 13:15 on Saturdays – (1 in 4 Saturday shifts). The contract is for 37.5 hours per week, to allow for training.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required.

Other requirements
The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with dogs and all that that entails e.g., picking up dog mess and working outside in all weather conditions. Before applying please consider that Dogs Play are in a rural location, so please work out if and how you may commute. Access to your own transport or lifts to & from work will be required, as public transport is unlikely to be viable. The best candidates will have some animal care experience; be a team player that gets stuck in and is happy to help; has good communication; and is organised and time efficient.
