About the employer

Whether we are delivering small scale improvements or a major project, Taylor Woodrow’s success is founded on the teams that we build, the relationships we develop and the engineering solutions that we provide. We have a strong regional presence across the UK, where local people bring local solutions across a range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects as part of long-term frameworks. This is complimented by our ability to deliver major infrastructure projects requiring complex engineering solutions. Our projects support the UK’s energy transition, deliver improvements to the highways network and enhance rail infrastructure. The strategic infrastructure that we construct are the building blocks for growth and this includes a role in delivering the UK’s low carbon transport future through High Speed 2. We operate across all stages of the project lifecycle, with our Engineering Services team supporting clients through the development and design phase of infrastructure projects to foster the right solutions. Sustainability is at the heart of our approach and we are committed to respecting and protecting the environment in everything that we do. Taking the time to understand and make a positive difference to each community that we work within is an integral part of our work to ensure that our projects leave a lasting legacy. Taylor Woodrow is committed to creating a working environment that is inclusive and diverse. The position is available for one of our projects: HS2 Old Oak Common Station. The contract to manage the construction and delivery of the new c. £1 billion HS2 Old Oak Common station has been awarded to VINCI in joint venture with Balfour Beatty and SYSTRA. At a depth of 20 metres and nearly 1 kilometre long, the new structure will be the largest underground rail station ever built in the United Kingdom. On completion, it will become the UK's best-connected station, providing direct services to three major airports, eight of Britain's ten largest cities and forming part of one of Britain's largest regeneration projects which will help create up to 65,000 jobs and 25,000 new homes in West London while also dramatically increasing rail capacity across the UK. The Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA joint venture draws on the strength of both Taylor Woodrow and VINCI Construction Grands Projets from the VINCI family and will act as HS2's Construction Partner, responsible for the final design, construction and commissioning of this major complex station in North West London. At construction peak the project will employ a direct management team of 140 and a wider workforce of approximately 2,500. The Old Oak Common project will be a showcase for railway design in the UK and lead the way in the future of infrastructure.
