What you will do in your working day

Duties include:

Will provide a supporting role to the Private Client Tax team in London. This will include:

  • Attending meetings with clients with others from the team.
  • Analysis information provided by those clients.
  • Assisting in the preparation of client tax returns.

The training you will be getting

Professional Accounting Taxation Technician Apprenticeship Level 4 - ATT:

A key role within any accountancy and finance function, individuals undertaking this apprenticeship will hone their ability to create, verify and review accurate and timely financial information. This apprenticeship can suit a variety of financial functions as there are a range of qualifications available to suit your organisation.

The ATT qualification gives you the knowledge and practical skills to work in tax compliance. After qualifying, you can progress onto CTA and become a chartered tax advisor. The ATT syllabus follows a modular structure, which consists of two core certificate papers and four optional certificate papers, allowing you to specialise in your own area of interest or expertise.

You must also complete three computer-based exams (Law, Professional Responsibilities & Ethics and Accounting). 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Limitless. We will encourage the successful candidate to go on from ATT to full CTA qualification and we will fund that. They should expect in due course to run and manage their own client portfolio and in time to progress through senior, supervisor and manager grades and beyond. We have staff who have gone from zero tax knowledge to now become managers so the possibilities are endless.
