What you will do in your working day

As an Applications Consultant degree apprentice, you will be working towards a full-time job and studying for a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree with our partner University. Working within Applications Management Services (AMS) across a huge spectrum of challenges, you will:

  • Provide IT consultancy expertise that will transform how our clients conduct their day-to-day business
  • Support live systems and applications and be expected to be able to assist Capgemini’s clients with answering queries, resolving issues and incidents in accordance with agreed SLAs and providing best practice where required
  • Work on requests for changes and enhancements always seeking to exceed client expectations

The training you will be getting

  • Digital and technology solutions professional Level 6 (Degree with honours)

You will be working towards a full-time job and studying towards a degree apprenticeship with Sheffield Hallam University on our flagship BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions to match the Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Apprenticeship standard. It’s a 3-year course in which you will have an initial 10-week bootcamp on campus at Sheffield Hallam University.

You will then study part time using a blended approach to learning, encompassing both on campus days and online learning, whilst doing your full-time role. You will learn many industry standard technologies and cover modules such as programming fundamentals, systems analysis and design, database administration and software engineering concepts. The degree includes a final stage project in conjunction with Capgemini’s business. 

Functional Skills in English and maths if required.

Things to consider

These roles require BPSS and SC Security Clearance, you will be required to pass through SC Security Clearance if you are successful in this recruitment process, which is a condition of undertaking the role.
