What you will do in your working day

Role focusses on keeping the shopfloor organised, clean, and tidy, as directed by Factory Supervisor and other members of the team.

Will receive on the job training in:

  • Operating rolling mills
  • Operating sheet metal machinery
  • Assembling pre-panelised steel frames ready for despatch
    loading and unloading vehicles
  • Forklift driving

Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship standard

  • Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths (if required)
  • 20% off-the-job training 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The apprentice will be able to progress towards a permanent role.
