What you will do in your working day

The Focus of your Role:

The technology solutions that we develop and implement for our clients have the scope to transform business outcomes - resulting in huge commercial successes. You will be central to ensuring this level of potential is achieved, supporting and guiding clients through the entire process, and applying meticulous attention to detail to every challenge that you are faced with.

There are several different roles available on the Digital & Technology Solutions Apprenticeship.  On your application form, please select the role that you feel is most aligned to you from the list below.  

  • Technical Consultant within Oracle Technologies (ERP Cloud) -candidates will have a passion for coding and/or infrastructure, enjoy problem solving and relish the opportunity to transform our client's businesses through technology
  • Functional Consultant within Oracle Technologies (ERP Cloud) - candidates will have a passion for technology and relish the opportunity to work on projects helping to guide and transform how our global clients manage and operate, streamlining processes and enhancing business operations
  • Technical Consultant within (SAP) - candidates will have an interest in any of the following; designing, building, testing, implementation, interface and/or infrastructure
  • Functional Consultant within (SAP) - candidates will have an interest in any of the following; designing, building, testing, implementing solutions and/or project management

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards a full-time job and studying towards a degree apprenticeship with Sheffield Hallam University on our flagship BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions to match the Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Apprenticeship standard. It’s a 3-year course in which you will have an initial 10-week bootcamp on campus at Sheffield Hallam University. You will then study part time using a blended approach to learning, encompassing both on campus days and online learning, whilst doing your full-time role. You will learn many industry standard technologies and cover modules such as programming fundamentals, systems analysis and design, database administration and software engineering concepts. The degree includes a final stage project in conjunction with Capgemini’s business.

Things to consider

These roles require BPSS and SC Security Clearance, you will be required to pass through SC Security Clearance if you are successful in this recruitment process, which is a condition of undertaking the role. To meet the clearance requirements, you will need to;  Have the right to live and work in the UK  Be resident in the UK for the past five years  Have spent no more than 3 consecutive months outside the UK in that period  If you cannot meet these criteria, we are sorry, but we will not be able to consider you for this role.  Please ensure you are aware of the requirements before submitting your application.
